August 6, 2009 - "Families, Too" was shown to the Governor's Commission on Marriage and the Family

"Families, Too" was created by Ted Baldwin and 3^rd Coast Digital Films, Inc. to be used by the Forum For Equality as an educational tool. The film was shown to the Governor's Commission on Marriage and the Family so that they would be aware that families come in many different shapes and forms. We hope that after seeing the film, the commission will work to strengthen all Louisiana families.

On January 28, 2009, the following letter was sent to Senator Sharon Broome the Chairwoman, Louisiana Commission on Marriage and Family.

Congratulations on your appointment as Chair of the Governor’s Commission on Marriage and Family. Members of the Forum For Equality strongly believe that the stability of American families is integral to the health of our society. We hope that the commission takes this opportunity to make meaningful and fair-minded recommendations on strengthening ALL of Louisiana’s families.
